GMC Suspension & Steering

OEM and aftermarket suspension and steering parts for Sierra 1500, Sierra 2500HD, Yukon, Yukon XL and every other GMC sold in the USA. Fitment verified by VIN, shipped to all 50 states.

GMC shares its platforms with Chevrolet — Sierra with Silverado, Yukon with Tahoe, Terrain with Equinox — but Denali and AT4 trims add their own brakes, suspension, lighting and trim. Many of the GMC parts we quote are for 1999–2013 Sierra, Yukon and Envoy trucks still working every day, so we read the RPO codes off your VIN and match the part to the truck as it was built.

What’s different about GMC suspension and steering parts

  • Sierra and Yukon suspension differs by RPO: Z71 off-road, Z85 heavy-duty, and Denali's Magnetic Ride Control with electronic dampers; a 4WD truck uses different front shocks and lower control arms than a 2WD.
  • Front hub bearings and lower ball joints are the most common suspension orders on 1999–2013 Sierra and Yukon; 2WD 1500s use a coil-over front while 2500HD trucks use torsion bars.
  • 2014-and-newer Sierra 1500 uses electric power steering, so a whining pump or leaking pressure hose applies only to earlier trucks and to the 2500HD, which kept hydraulic steering longer.
