What’s different about Lincoln body and lighting parts
- Navigator headlamps changed with the 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2018 model years and are sold as HID and LED versions; the power-fold, memory and camera mirrors on 2015-and-newer trucks are trim-specific.
- Town Car headlamps, tail lamps, door handles and mirror assemblies are common orders on 1998–2011 cars, with the 2003 refresh changing the front end; chrome trim and emblems are shared across the Signature and Executive trims.
- MKX and MKZ headlamps vary by halogen, HID and adaptive LED versions, and the 2013 MKZ and 2016 MKX redesigns changed every body panel; Corsair and Nautilus use their own fascias despite sharing structure with Escape and Edge.
Lincoln Navigator power running board motors, 2007–2017
The power-deploying running boards on the 2007–2017 Navigator use a motor and gearbox on each side, and the motor is the part that fails: the board stops deploying, deploys halfway, or grinds. It is one of the most common Navigator orders we take.
- Left and right motors are different parts. Most replacements come with the mounting bracket; some kits include the linkage arms, which is worth it if the board has been forced by hand.
- The Expedition of the same years used the same running board system, so its motor is an interchange when the Lincoln part is out of stock.
- A board that is stuck deployed is usually the motor, not the module; the module rarely fails on these trucks.
